Counting Moments and Making Moments Count

Tue, Jan 10, 2017 • 7:00 PM8:30 PM

Jewish tradition seeks to sanctify each moment of time, marking the ordinary and extraordinary, the sacred and profane. The blessings of Kiddush recited over wine remind us that we have the power to make time holy. Each week, the Sabbath gives us an opportunity to build what Abraham Joshua Heschel called a “sanctuary in time” that can serve as an antidote to the stress and frenzy of daily life.

Join us for wine and cheese, poetry and personal reflection, camaraderie and conversation. We will explore themes of rest and creation, modern-day taskmasters and liberation from Egypt.

How might these ideas enhance our joy and add more sacred moments to our daily life and weekly rhythms? No prior knowledge necessary, just interest in new possibilities!

RSVP to adulted@crsnyc.org.
