Tiny Mustache

Fri, Nov 7, 2014 • 7:30 PM9:00 PM

Following services, please join us for Shabbat dinner and the performance of “The Tiny Mustache”.

In June 1944, a visit by the Red Cross to the ‘beautified’ Nazi camp of Terezin was used by the Nazis to deceive the world about its atrocities. The visit featured a command performance of the children’s opera Brundibar featuring Jewish teenage actors. “The Tiny Mustache,” is an original musical production which imagines the backstage events as these children prepare for this performance and realize they are being used for this Nazi deception. The show was inspired by a survivor of Terezin who wished to honor the memory of her family and protest the growing number of deniers.

Also, please join us for Lunch Together on Tuesday, November 11th at 11:30 AM, where Eliot Bailen and Steve Failkoff will speak about the process of writing and creating the show, sharing the evolution and origins of the project.

To RSVP for Shabbat dinner and performance of “The Tiny Mustache”, please see contact information below.
