Light of a Clear Blue Morning

by Yvette Perry

Spring in April brings us Passover, Yom HaShoah, and Yom Haโ€™atzmaut. It is a time of remembrance and hopefulness. To appreciate the urgency of freedom, to remember that our past struggles were not that long ago, that we might have come far, but that we still have far to go.

During this time when we are wondering what tomorrow will bring, Rabbi Levine speaks to us of the power of community, of staying strong together to overcome distress, of making things better together, and of the light that always follows the darkness.

While we make way for springโ€™s sunlight, let us keep close to our heart that even the sprig of green on our Seder plate is a harbinger of good things to come. It is imbued with renewal and hope.

โ€œโ€ฆAnd I can see theย light of a brand new day, I can see the light of a clear blue morning, Andย everything’sย gonnaย be all right, It’sย gonnaย be okay.โ€ย
