#SolidarityShabbat brings 1,200

This Friday, our Solidarity Shabbat service on Erev Shabbat brought in an estimated 1,000-1,200 people.ย  On the Wednesday before the service, The New York Times published a piece on the Solidarity Shabbat, stating that it was for Jews and non-Jews alike, which no doubt spurred many from our community to show up in support.ย  ย Earlier that week, Rabbi Robert N. Levine was interviewed in the West Side Spirit about the NYC religious community response to the tragedy, saying, “โ€œWe live the exact values that the assailant repudiated. And we have no intention of ever backing down from them … No anti-Semite will dictate how we live โ€” never has and never will.โ€
